Private concept — a speculative redesign, not the official Instant Shoe Repair website

Shoe, leather & luggage repair · Johnson Ferry at Shallowford

Don’t replace them.Bring them back.

A bench in East Cobb where soles, heels, straps and zippers get put right — on the shoes, bags and luggage that are worth keeping. Walk in, leave it on the counter, and pick it up the way you remember it.

The bench

What crosses the counter

One shop, one bench, and a much wider range of work than the words “shoe repair” suggest. If it is leather, stitched or zipped, it is worth asking about.

01

Soles & heels

New soles and new heel blocks on the shoes and boots you actually wear — the repair customers mention most often.

Dress shoes · boots
02

Leather restoration

Cleaning and restoring leather until a favourite pair reads as new again. A neighbour on Nextdoor puts it plainly: shoes and handbags come back “like new”.

Shoes · bags
03

Handbags & purses

Straps and repairs on the bag you do not want to give up, rather than a replacement you did not want to buy.

04

Luggage

It is spelled out in neon in the front window: luggage repair. Cases and travel bags cross the same counter as the shoes.

05

Zippers

Zips put right on bags and garments — one customer mentions a swimsuit, which tells you roughly where the limit is.

06

Birkenstock resoling

Singled out by reviewers for resoling that keeps the original soles instead of swapping the footbed for something generic.

Resoling

Every service listed here is named in this shop’s public listings, shown in its own window signage, or described by a customer in a public review. Nothing on this page was invented — prices, turnaround times, guarantees and years in business are deliberately absent because no public source states them.

The work

One pair, brought back

A new heel block, a new sole, the edges finished — and a pair of dress shoes goes back into the rotation instead of into a bin. That is the whole argument for this shop, and it is a customer, not the shop, who photographed it.

  • A Nextdoor neighbour describes shoes and handbags coming back “like new”, and a Yelp reviewer that there is “nothing he can’t fix”.
  • Work handed back when it was promised: “ready at the time and date anticipated.”
  • Shoes, boots, handbags, luggage and Birkenstocks all cross the same bench, so one trip usually covers the pile.

What people say

The reviews all describe the same thing

Real reviews · quoted verbatim1 / 5

“There’s nothing he can’t fix! Purse straps, leather cleaning and restoring, shoe soles, even the zipper on a swimsuit! And so fairly priced. Plus, he is so kind.”

Five published reviews, each quoted word for word from the platform named beside it. Nothing here is averaged, rounded or rewritten. The four Yelp and Nextdoor excerpts were read on 12 August 2026; the Google excerpt was recorded on 13 August 2026 from a syndicated feed and has not been re-checked against Google directly. Stars appear only where a star rating is published for that individual review.

18of the 27 reviews on Yelp are five stars

Read from the shop’s public Yelp listing on 12 August 2026: 27 reviews in total, 18 of them five-star. Nextdoor carries a separate set of neighbour recommendations. Review counts move — they should be re-checked before anyone quotes them.

Look for the neon

The shop sits in the shopping center at Johnson Ferry and Shallowford, suite 125. You will not need the number: luggage repair glows in one window and a red shoe glows in the other.

Ask first

Not sure it can be saved?

Most people call. On the finished site this note would reach the shop directly, so a customer can describe the damage before making the drive.

In this preview the form is deliberately inert: submitting it sends nothing, stores nothing and contacts no one.

Prototype only — nothing is sent, stored or transmitted.
